NAKED SPAIN - We’ve come a long way since bikini-clad tourists clashed with police on the beach in Benidorm for daring to bare almost all. Spain has just been voted number one for nude beaches and won a whole host of other awards in the world of the unclothed. The findings were revealed by publishers of The World’s Best Nude Beaches and Resorts, from a survey of Britain’s naturist holidaymakers.

Further west, Banana Beach is popular, particularly for its sunsets. It is also a favourite with nudists… In peak season bare beach bums may feel more comfortable on Little Banana.

Formentera is only a 30-minute ferry ride from Ibiza but a world apart in terms of atmosphere and tranquility. P.E.I. nudist resort gets international exposure 

When Gary Lowther opened the ‘Oasis’ four years ago, it was met with some controversy. …but now the World Guide to nude beaches has named it the fourth best nudist resort in Canada.

Mark Storey, co-author of The World’s Best Nude Beaches and Resorts, recently visited Prince Edward Island and said the Oasis has a lot to offer travellers who embrace the naturist lifestyle.

Inch Strand in world’s best nude beaches

Inch Strand is included in a list of ‘the world’s best nude beaches and resorts’. The beach in west Kerry is also on an unofficial naturist trail. This inclusion, by the new guide for naturists follows a call by the Irish Naturists’ Association for local authorities to support their request for nudist beaches in Ireland.

…there’s a guidebook which has just flopped on my desk - so to speak - which lists the top 1,000 beaches and resorts for where to bare around the world. Called The World’s Best Nude Beaches (Lifestyle Press Ltd) it is also lavishly illustrated, which is a good enough reason to buy it anyway. One picture of a naked couple ploughing the waves on a jet ski is quite eye-watering.

Nudism goes global

We’ve previously clued you up on the top spots to bare it all in the UK and in Europe but now, inspired by the publication of The World’s Best Nude Beaches and Resorts we’re casting our net further afield and looking at the rest of the world…
